The Sawyer Seminar and the Center for Documentary Research and Practice (CDRP) at Indiana University is offering Graduate Student Fellowship in USA. Graduate fellowship is open to non-U.S. nationals and the fellow must be enrolled at Indiana University-Bloomington.
The Center for Documentary Research and Practice is a multidisciplinary unit that brings together scholars and artists from across Indiana University who are working on an array on nonfiction media projects. It also serves as a home to visiting artists and postdoctoral scholars who are working on projects with nonfiction media components.
The mission is to encourage the development of collaborative multidisciplinary documentary research and creative projects by faculty and graduate students.
The university requires TOEFL scores for all non-native English-speaking applicants. The required minimum overall score is 100.
Course Level: Fellowship is awarded to pursue research programme.
Study Subject: Fellowship is available to filmmakers, historians, legal scholars, film and media scholars, anthropologists, cognitive scientists, and journalists.
Scholarship Award: The fellow will receive a stipend of $20,000 for the year as well as health insurance.

Eligibility: Applicants must possess the following qualifications:
-be either ABD in Cinema and Media Studies no later than August 31, 2016 with a demonstrable background in History, Law, History and Philosophy of Science, Anthropology, Sociology, Journalism or related discipline or
-have a J.D. or be ABD in History, Law, History and Philosophy of Science, Anthropology, Sociology, Journalism or related discipline no later than August 31, 2016 and have a demonstrable background in the study or production of documentaries.
Nationality: There is no citizenship requirement or restriction for this fellowship. Non-U.S. nationals are welcome to apply.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirements: Applicants should be either ABD no later than August 31, 2016 or have a J.D. or be ABD no later than August 31, 2016.
Test Requirement: The university requires official GRE scores. The required minimum verbal score and quantitative score is 152, and the minimum analytical score is 4.0. All scores should be above the 50th percentile.
English language Requirement: The university requires TOEFL scores for all non-native English-speaking applicants. The required minimum overall score is 100. They do not accept the IELTS as a substitute for the TOEFL.

-500 words describing how applicants’ research interests connect to one or more the Sawyer Seminar’s themes
-Two letters of recommendation.
