2016 Elaine Geering Graduate & Undergraduate Scholarship in English Literature at Victoria University in New Zealand

Victoria University of Wellington is offering Elaine Geering Scholarship to pursue Honours, Masters or PhD studies in English Literature. The scholarship is open to students studying at Victoria University or have completed their undergraduate studies here. Students transferring from other universities are also eligible.

University’s aim is to provide a learning environment to help students achieve their full potential and they will also provide financial support if they have difficulties.

Victoria University has a tradition of fostering strong global links in teaching and research and programmes of national significance and international quality.

The scholarship shall be open to students undertaking Honours, Masters or PhD studies in Medieval, Old English, or New Zealand literature at Victoria University, including students transferring from other universities.

Course Level: The scholarship shall be open to students undertaking Honours, Masters or PhD studies.

Study Subject: Scholarship is provided in the field of English Literature.

Scholarship Award: The value of the scholarship will be approximately $1,000.

Scholarship can be taken at: New Zealand

Eligibility: The successful applicant will be chosen on the basis of their academic transcript and an application form. The selection panel shall consist of the Head of the School of English, Film and Theater (or nominee) and if necessary a representative selected by the Scholarships Office. The Scholarship shall be open to: 
-students undertaking Honours, Masters or PhD studies in Medieval, Old English, or New Zealand literature at Victoria University, including students transferring from other universities; or
– students who have completed their undergraduate studies at Victoria University and are enrolled in postgraduate study of Medieval, Old English, or New Zealand literature at an approved overseas institution.

Nationality: Students of New Zealand is particularly encouraged to apply.
