Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) is offering excellence scholarship for pursuing master degree programmes. Scholarship is available for non-EEA applicants.

Applicants must have proven minimum proficiency in at least three languages upon admission to the programme (entry) and upon graduation for the CEMS-MiM diploma (exit). These three languages are: English; CEMS language; Third language. The level of mastery of each of these languages differs, and may also differ between entry and exit, as the exit requirements in some cases are higher.

Course Level: Scholarship is awarded to pursue master degree programme.

Scholarship Award: For the academic year 2016-2017, Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM) will grant two to three partial scholarships, depending on the quality of the applicants. The value of the partial scholarship is 8.500 euros (half of the regular tuition fee).
-The scholarship takes the form of a waiver being the amount of money that will be subtracted from the full non-EEA tuition fee (€ 17,000).
-If the student fails to graduate in nominal time, the non-EEA tuition fee for non-EEA Master students will apply for the remaining period of study.
-For the scholarship, no actual transmission of money takes place.
-The scholarship part of the non-EEA tuition fee will be subtracted from the full non-EEA tuition fee before the start of the academic year, enabling the beholder to immediately pay the reduced tuition fee; either at once or in installments.

Eligibility: Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible to apply for this scholarship:
-In principle, a fair distribution of scholarships over the various MSc programmes will take place. This principle may be deviated from and priority may be given to applicants for certain MSc programmes.
-Application for the scholarship is open for prospective MSc students, starting their studies in the academic year 2016/2017, from all non-EEA countries, provided they would be charged the non-EEA tuition fee.
-The school may give preference to students with one of the following nationalities: Brazilian, Russian, Indian, Chinese, Taiwanese/Korean/Filipino, Indonesian/Vietnamese/Thai, Iranian/Iraqi, Azerbaijani/Georgian, Turkish, African (all countries), Mexican.
-Additionally, the school may strive for a certain distribution over the continents.
-Applicants cannot be recipients of any other scholarships exceeding the amount of 5.000 euro in total in that same academic year.

Nationality: Students from all non-EEA countries can apply for this scholarship. This scholarship is meant for prospective students only (thus, this scholarship is not meant for currently enrolled RSM and EUR students), excluding HBO pre-master students.he school may give preference to students with one of the following nationalities: Brazilian, Russian, Indian, Chinese, Taiwanese/Korean/Filipino, Indonesian/Vietnamese/Thai, Iranian/Iraqi, Azerbaijani/Georgian, Turkish, African (all countries), Mexican.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirements: Excellence for applicants with a Bachelor of Science from Dutch universities is proven if the average grade over the entire programme at the time of application is at least 8.0/10.

Test Requirements: Additionally, a GMAT score of at least 700 is required – also for applicants from schools and/or programmes exempt for GMAT for admission.
-Excellence for applicants with a Bachelor of Science from non-Dutch universities is proven if the average grade over the entire programme at the time of application is at least the equivalent of the Dutch grade of 8.0 on the Dutch grading scale 1 – 10.
-The Scholarship Committee will decide on the local grade equivalents for the Dutch grade of 8.0 using the grade information included in (a.o.) the Nuffic country modules.
-Additionally, a GMAT score of at least 700 is required – also for applicants from schools and/or programmes exempt for GMAT for admission.
-Please note that we can only take a scholarship application into consideration if it is complete and meets all of the requirements. This includes a minimum GMAT test score of 700.

Supporting Material: When applying for the Master programme in the online application form (OLAF) applicants will be asked to upload documents which will be used for evaluating their application. During this process they can also upload their scholarship application letter. The application letter should include the following information;
-an explanation why applicants would need a scholarship, comprising a  description of the students financial situation
-an explanation why applicants would deserve a scholarship, comprising a description of academic excellence and if applicable other merits
-if applicable: scanned copies of other scholarships granted (later on applicants will be asked to provide a certified copy)
-a signed statement indicating that other scholarships awarded do not exceed the amount of 5.000 euro in total
-scanned copies of the grade list to date, as available at the moment of application (normally already part of their application package). Later on in the process they will be asked to provide a certified copy
-Please note that university can only take a scholarship application into consideration if it is complete and meets all of the requirements. This includes a scholarship application letter.

Application Deadline: Applicants for MSc (except for the MSc International Management-CEMS) can apply for the scholarship any moment between 15 October 2015 and 1 March 2016. The decisions on the award of the scholarship will be made by the RSM Scholarship Committee. This scholarship committee will determine award recipient(s) on 1 April 2016.
