Each year, the Consulate General of France in Jerusalem offers excellence scholarships to Palestinian students. Scholarship is available to study at master’s degree or a PhD in France.
The programme’s goal is to reinforce Palestinian institutions through capacity-building. Upon admission, the grantees can follow courses in France in non-existent or insufficiently represented programmes in Palestine (Master’s degree and PhD only).
Priority will be given to French-speaking/learning candidates. To study in a programme taught in French, a good level of French is required (level equivalent to DELF B2 required).
Course Level: Scholarship is available to study for a master’s degree or a PhD in France.
Study Subject: These programmes are open to students and teachers who wish to pursue an academic career and will return to their universities to help strengthen their curricula and research.

Eligibility: In order to apply for scholarship, applicant must follow the given criteria:
Nationality: The candidate must hold the Palestinian citizenship. .
Age: Candidates must be, on January, 1st 2016, less than 25 years old for a master’s degree and less than 30 years old for a PhD. Depending on the quality of the application, older candidates will be considered.
Master’s and PhD only: Only candidates to a Master’s degree or a PhD can apply for a scholarship.
Nationality: Applicants must be of Palestinian nationality.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirement: Only candidates to a Master’s degree or a PhD can apply for a scholarship.
English Language Requirement: Priority will be given to French-speaking/learning candidates. To study in a programme taught in French, a good level of French is required (level equivalent to DELF B2 required).
-If applicants wish to take French lessons, please inquire the nearest French Institute or other accredited institution (Gaza, Jerusalem, Nablus, Ramallah, the Alliance Française in Bethlehem and Hebron-France association in Hebron).
-If applicants wish to apply for a programme taught in English, the following disciplines are accepted as a priority in the framework of this scholarship: abstract mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology. In addition, an excellent level in English is required. Applicant must commit to taking French classes if they are selected.
Supporting Material: In addition to the application for the scholarship, the applicant must submit the following documents:
-1 CV: in English or in French
-For PhD candidates: a five-page summary of the thesis project, including a one-page bibliography
-Description of the targeted programme with internet link (½ page maximum)
-If possible, 1 official leave letter from their employer or an official job offer or any document proving that they will fill a working position upon their return to Palestine
-Copy (not the originals!) of the Tawjihi and University degrees with the grades
-Copy of the passport or of the travel document
-2 ID photos
-Copy of the correspondence with universities
