American Chemical Society Undergraduate Scholarships To Study In USA

American Chemical Society is offering scholarship to high school seniors and college freshmen, sophomores, or juniors in academic year 2016 2017.  Scholarship is available in the field of Chemistry or related fields.

The program aims to help build awareness of the value and rewards associated with careers in Chemistry and assist students in acquiring skills and credentials needed for success.

The mission of American Chemical Society (ACS) is to advance the broader chemistry enterprise and its practitioners for the benefit of Earth and its people.

Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic record, career objective, financial need, leadership ability, participation in school activities, and community service.

Course Level: Scholarship is offered to high school seniors and college freshmen, sophomores, or juniors.

Study Subject: 
Scholarship is available in the fields of Chemistry or related fields such as Environmental Science, Toxicology and Chemical Technology.

Scholarship Award: 
Awards are as follows:
-$2,500 for freshmen
-$3,000 for sophomores
-$5,000 for juniors and seniors

Eligibility: To be considered for a scholarship through the ACS Scholars Program, applicants must:
-Be African-American, Hispanic/Latino, or American Indian
-Be a U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident
-Be a full-time student at a high school or accredited college, university, or community college
-Demonstrate high academic achievement in chemistry or science (Grade Point Average 3.0, “B” or better)
-Demonstrate financial need according to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid form (FAFSA) and the Student Aid Report (SAR) form
-Be a graduating high school senior or college freshman, sophomore or junior intending to or already majoring in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering or a chemically-related science or intending to or already pursuing a degree in chemical technology
-Be planning a career in the chemical sciences

Nationality: African American, Hispanic, American Indian students, U.S. citizens or permanent U.S. residents are eligible.

College Admission Requirement:

Entrance Requirement: Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic record, career objective, financial need, leadership ability, participation in school activities and community service.

Supporting Material: To apply, complete the online application form and submit the following supporting documentation:
-Official High School Transcript or Grade Report
-SAT or ACT score report (For High School Seniors)
-Two letters of recommendation
-Copy of Student Aid Report
-Official College Transcript or Grade Report (For College Freshman)
