BAFTA Scholarships are open to British and Chinese Nationals to study in the UK or China respectively. BAFTA’s scholarship programme awards students in need of financial assistance to take a postgraduate course related to a career in film, television or games.
The British Academy of Film and Television Arts is offering a new initiative that supports UK-China cross-cultural exchange by enabling talented Chinese and British nationals to study film, television, or games as an international student in the UK or China respectively.
They are committed to sharing insights into the crafts of the people who work in film, television and games by staging over 250 public events a year across the UK, the US and beyond. This wide-ranging programme of events gives members, the industry and the public at large many opportunities to learn first-hand from the finest practitioners in the business.
Course Level: Scholarship is open to pursue a postgraduate course in UK or China.
Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded in the film, television, or games.
Scholarship Award: Chinese nationals can apply for up to £20,000 towards course fees at an industry-recognised UK institution, plus up to £10,000 for living expenses. British citizens can apply for up to £10,000 for a course in mainland China or Hong Kong, and up to £10,000 for living expenses. The scholarship recipients will also be mentored by
industry professionals, and have free access to BAFTA events.
Scholarship can be taken at: UK (Chinese Nationals) China or Hong Kong (British Citizens)
Eligibility: Applicant may be a current undergraduate whose course ends this summer, or applicant may be returning to formal education after some years.
Nationality: Chinese and British nationals can apply for these scholarships.
