The Dalai Lama Trust is offering scholarship for pursuing graduate degree program (MA and PhD) in a university in Europe, Australia or the Americas. Students of Tibetan descent especially Tibetan students residing in India/Nepal are eligible to apply for this scholarship programme.
The purpose of the scholarship program is to further the human capital development of the Tibetan people by supporting the pursuit of excellence among Tibetan students in a field of graduate studies of their choice.
The Trust was established to support the advancement and welfare of the Tibetan people, the culture and heritage of the ancient civilization of Tibet, and the promotion of the deep rooted values associated with its culture and people.
Course Level: Scholarship is available for pursuing graduate degree program (MA and PhD) in a university in Europe, Australia or the Americas.
Study Subject: Scholarship is awarded to the students in the field of their choice.
Scholarship Award: Scholarships of up to US $10,000 are to be awarded to ten to fifteen students who demonstrate excellence within their chosen fields.
Scholarship can be taken at: Europe, Australia or USA
Eligibility: Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible to apply for this Scholarship:-
-Applicant must be enrolled in or accepted to a full-time graduate degree program in a university in Australia, Europe or the Americas
-Applicant must show proof of Tibetan heritage
-Eligible candidates must be pursuing graduate studies, whether at the Masters, PhD level, Law School or at a professional school
Nationality: Students of Tibetan descent are eligible to apply for this scholarship programme. Tibetan students residing in India/Nepal are especially encouraged to apply.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirements: Applicant must be enrolled in or accepted to a full-time graduate degree program in a university in Australia, Europe or the Americas.
English Language Requirement: Applicants from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English language/other language requirements in order to be able to study there.
Supporting Material: Along with the application form applicants have to submit the following documents:

-Photograph of applicant
-Two essay responses (refer to application form section 6)
-Official undergraduate transcript record
-Copy of acceptance letter or enrollment form for intended graduate institution
-Signed three written letters of recommendation (at least two academic references)
-Reference letters must be sent directly by the referees to scholarship-at-dalailamatrust.org
-Copy of valid Green Book with Chatrel dues paid up to 2015 (1st page, 2nd page & last paid page).
