2016 The Frost Scholarship Programme (Israel) For Students To Study In UK

The Frost Scholarship Programme (Israel) funds one-year, full-time master’s courses in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (‘STEM’ subjects) at the University of Oxford. Current students of Israeli universities are eligible to apply for this programme.

These awards are made for the full duration of applicants’ fee liability for the agreed course. The main objective of the university is to provide high quality, comprehensive educational and training opportunities that are compatible to changing needs of the students.

All teaching at Oxford University is carried out in English (with the exception of some language-specific teaching) and tutors must be convinced that they have sufficient fluency in written and spoken English to cope with their course from the start.

Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing Masters Degree programme.

Scholarship Award: The scholarship will cover 100% of University and college fees and grant for living costs of £14,296. Awards are made for the full duration of their fee liability for the agreed course.

Eligibility: Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible to apply for this Scholarship:-
-Applicants must be a current student of an Israeli university, and have not previously been enrolled on a full degree programme at an institution outside of Israel. They must also be ordinarily resident in Israel.

-Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. In selecting the annual cohort of scholars, priority will be given to applicants in order to fulfill the aim of representing a range of subject areas.
-Applicants who hold deferred offers to start in 2016-17 are not eligible to be considered for these scholarships.

Nationality: Israeli residents who are graduates of an Israeli university are eligible to apply for this programme.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirements: Applicants must be a current student of an Israeli university, and have not previously been enrolled on a full degree programme at an institution outside of Israel. They must also be ordinarily resident in Israel.

English language Requirements: All teaching at Oxford University is carried out in English (with the exception of some language-specific teaching) and tutors must be convinced that they have sufficient fluency in written and spoken English to cope with their course from the start. Therefore, all non-native English-speaking applicants must satisfy one of the following requirements:
-IELTS: overall score of 7.0 (with at least 7.0 in each of the four components)
-TOEFL (paper-based): overall score of 600 with a Test of Written English score of 5.5
-TOEFL (internet-based): overall score of 110 with component scores of at least: Listening 22, Reading 24, Speaking 25, and Writing 24.
-Cambridge English: Advanced, also known as the Certificate of Advanced English (CAE): grade A if taken before January 2015, or a score of at least 185.
-Cambridge English: Proficiency, also known as the Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE): grade B if taken before January 2015, or a score of at least 185.
-English Language GCSE, or O-level: grade B
-International Baccalaureate Standard Level (SL): score of 5 in English (as Language A or B)
-European Baccalaureate: score of 70% in English.

Supporting Material: The following documents are compulsory for all applications:
-three references (letters of recommendation)
-official transcript(s) of previous university-level degrees
-CV/résumé
-statement of purpose and/or research proposal
Applicants may also need to supply one or more of the following, depending on the course:
-academic written work
-portfolio (eg of artwork, performance recordings)
-GRE results
-mathematics admissions exercise

How to Apply: There is no separate application process for this scholarship: in order to be considered, submit application for graduate study by the relevant January deadline (8 or 22 January 2016, depending on their course), or, for courses which are still accepting applications, by the 11 March 2016 deadline.
