The Roth Family Foundation Fellowship For UNESCO-IHE Short Courses In Netherlands, 2016

The Roth Family Foundation offers three fellowships per year for UNESCO-IHE short courses related to safe drinking water and sanitation. These fellowships are available for female water professionals from Sub-Saharan Africa.

UNESCO-IHE conducts a wide range of short, intensive and highly specialized courses which are aimed at upgrading and refreshing the knowledge and skills of mid-career professional and senior experts.

UNESCO-IHE is the largest international graduate water education facility in the world and is based in Delft, the Netherlands. The Institute confers fully accredited MSc degrees, and PhD degrees in collaboration with partner universities.

Applicants should have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken.

Course Level: Fellowships are available for UNESCO-IHE short courses.

Study Subject: Fellowships are offered for short courses related to Safe Drinking Water and Sanitation

List of Subjects: For 2016, the following short courses are eligible:
-Partnerships for Water Supply and Sanitation (06 Jun 2016-24 Jun 2016)
-Water Treatment Processes and Plants (06 Jun 2016-24 Jun 2016)
-Decentralised Water Supply and Sanitation (27 Jun 2016-15 Jul 2016)
-Faecal Sludge Management (27 Jun 2016-15 Jul 2016)
-Solid Waste Management (27 Jun 2016-15 Jul 2016)
-Urban Water Governance (27 Jun 2016-15 Jul 2016)

Scholarship Award: Discounts on the tuition fee of online and short courses apply to the following:
-30% for UNESCO-IHE alumni
-10% for UN family staff members
-10% for groups of 5 or more (provided that the course starts at the same time and a group application has been sent)

Scholarship can be taken at: Netherlands

Eligibility: Candidates should have a Bachelor of Science degree, at least two years years of working experience and a good command of the English language, both written and spoken.

Nationality: Female candidates from Sub-Saharan Africa can apply for these fellowships.

Rep. Mauritania, Togo, Congo, Rep. Mauritius, Uganda, Cote d’Ivoire, Mozambique, Zambia, Eritrea, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Niger, Gabon and Nigeria

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: Applicant should at least have a Bachelor Degree in a relevant field of study, some years of working experience and a good command of the English language.

Test Requirement: No

English Language Requirement: Applicants should have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken.

 Supporting Material: Before submitting the application form, applicants have to attach their curriculum vitae.
