University of Sussex is pleased to offer scholarships for Nigerian students. The scholarships are available to undertake full-time taught masters degree courses (e.g. MA, MSc, LLM. MRes) in September 2016.
This scholarship aims to assist high achieving and highly motivated international research scholars at University of Sussex.
The University of Sussex is a leading higher education and research institution near Brighton, in the south of England. Its goal is to deliver teaching and learning programmes that are informed by current research are attractive to students from all socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds, and which deliver skills for life.
For applicants holding/expecting to achieve a first class degree, equivalent to a British bachelors honours degree from a higher education institution in Nigeria. In terms of IELTS, the standard requirement is IELTS 6.5 overall, with at least 6.0 in each section.
Course Level: The scholarships are available to undertake full-time taught Masters degree courses at the University of Sussex (e.g. MA, MSc, LLM. MRes) excluding the following courses: Postgraduate diplomas, Graduate Entry LLB, Common Professional Examination (CPE)/Graduate Diploma in Law, Graduate Diploma in Economics, Masters degrees in Social Work, Social Work post qualifying Masters degrees, PGCE courses and schools direct teaching courses, MSc Automotive Engineering, Master of Education (two years part-time), MA degrees in IDS apart from the MA Gender and Development and Pre-Masters degrees and diplomas taught.
Study Subject: Scholarships are offered in diverse fields to help students in upgrading their education.
Scholarship Award: Scholarship has a value of up to £5,000.

Eligibility: In order to be eligible for a scholarship applicants must
-be a national of Nigeria,
be a self-financing student and have accepted an offer of a full-time place on a Masters course at the University of Sussex commencing in September 2016.
– must meet the published academic requirements for chosen course. If offer of a place is conditional they will need to meet the conditions of their offer before they are admitted to the University and awarded the scholarship. To receive the enhanced award, applicants will be required to provide evidence of their First Class degree from a recognised institution in Nigeria.
Nationality: Students of Nigeria can apply for the scholarship.

Entrance Requirement: For applicants holding/expecting to achieve a First Class degree, equivalent to a British Bachelors Honours degree from a Higher Education Institution in Nigeria
Test Requirement: No
English Language Requirements: In terms of IELTS, the standard requirement is IELTS 6.5 overall, with at least 6.0 in each section.
