The High Commission of India is offering Ayush Scholarship Scheme for the academic year 2016-2017. The aim of scholarship is to help Malaysian nationals who wish to pursue courses in Traditional System of Medicine in India.
The aim of High Commission of India is to provide high quality, comprehensive educational and training opportunities to the students.
The applicants should also be fluent in English language and must have taken Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying level examination
Course Level: Scholarship is awarded to study Bachelor’s programme.
Study Subject: Scholarship is available to pursue courses in Traditional System of Medicine.
List of Subjects: Ayurveda Medicine & Surgery, Siddha Medicine & Sciences, Unani Medicine & Surgery and Homeopathy Medicine & Surgery
Scholarship Award: The scholarship provides for Tuition fee, Living Allowance, Contingent Grant, and House rent Allowance.

Eligibility: Applicants should have any one of the following qualifications for applying to the Bachelor courses mentioned above:
-International Baccalaureate (IB)
-American High School Diploma
-2 years of South Australian Matriculation (SAM)
-2 years of Canadian Pre-University (CPU), or
-Any other qualification which is equivalent to 12th standard in India.
Nationality: Malaysian citizens can apply for this scholarship.
College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirement: Applicant must have taken Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at the qualifying level examination.
Test Requirement: No
English Language Requirement: Candidates must have adequate knowledge of English.
Supporting Material: Students who go to India for studies need to obtain Equivalence Certificate issued by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi. The Evaluation Division of AIU issues the Equivalence Certificate to students with foreign qualifications to facilitate their admission in Indian Universities. The students are advised to send the following documents for issuing Equivalence Certificate:
-Photocopy of the Degree / Certificate together with the year-wise Academic Transcript duly authenticated by the Indian Embassy in their country (or) their Mission in India.
-Accreditation status of the University / Institute, in which the student has last attended.
-Copies of the academic certificate of education.
How to Apply: Applicants must fill-in the application form and submit to the Education Wing, High Commission of India by post.
