The University of the Arts London is pleased to offer over 150 Vice-Chancellor’s Postgraduate Scholarships of 50% tuition fee waiver for the year 2016. UK/EU applicants are eligible to apply for these scholarships.

Applicants must have applied to study a full-time taught master’s course at one of UAL’s six Colleges starting in the academic year of 2016/17. All students need to show proof of their English language ability to enroll at University of the Arts London (UAL).

Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing full-time taught master’s course at one of UAL’s six Colleges starting in the academic year of 2016/17. Their course must offer an MA, MDes, MFA, MRes or MSc qualification.

Study Subject: Scholarships are offered to different departments across the University, all offering a diverse range of courses.

Scholarship Award: Over 150 scholarships are available to applicants meeting eligibility criteria. A scholarship provides a 50% tuition fee waiver for a full-time taught master’s course at one of UAL’s six Colleges starting in the academic year of 2016/17.

Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for scholarships:
-Applicants must have applied to study a full-time taught master’s course at one of UAL’s six Colleges starting in the academic year of 2016/17. Their course must offer either an MA, MDes, MFA, MRes or MSc qualification.
-Postgraduate Certificate (PgCert), Graduate Diploma, Postgraduate Diploma, M.Arch, MBA, distance learning, blended learning and online courses do not qualify. 
-In addition, if they already hold a postgraduate taught qualification from studies undertaken in the UK or abroad, they are not eligible to apply for a UAL Vice-Chancellor’s Postgraduate Scholarship.
-Their personal income must be £35,000 or less (or the equivalent exchange value in an EU member state currency) at the point of the scholarship application. As an example, a personal income of £35,000 is around €44,837.
-They need to qualify for the Home/EU category of tuition fee status. Home/EU tuition fee status includes complying with immigration and residence conditions for the UK. They may be asked to complete to UAL Fee Assessment Form to confirm your status.

Nationality: UK/EU applicants are eligible to apply for these scholarships.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: Applicants must have applied to study a full-time taught master’s course at one of UAL’s six colleges starting in the academic year of 2016/17.

Test Requirement: No

English Language Requirements: All students need to show proof of their English language ability to enrol at University of the Arts London (UAL).

Supporting Material: In applicant’s application they will be asked to evidence their personal income (from all sources) with documentation, whether they are employed, unemployed or currently studying. For example, if they are:
-Employed and/or have other types of personal income: A copy of their most recent tax statement or copies of their payslips covering a period of three months. Other types of personal income include share certificates or dividend statements for stocks, shares or bonds.
-Unemployed and/or in receipt of benefits: A copy of their latest award letter for any benefits they receive. Applicants will also need to provide evidence of any other unearned income during that year to calculate their personal income. If they are not currently receiving benefits they will only need to evidence that their personal income from all sources is £35,000 or less.
-Studying: A copy of any award notices of student financial support for 2015/16. They will also need to provide evidence of any earned and unearned income during that year to calculate their personal income. If they are not currently receiving student financial support they will only need to evidence that their personal income from all sources is £35,000 or less.

How to Apply: Once applicants have applied for a qualifying course university will send them an email with details on how (if they meet the given eligibility criteria) they can apply for a UAL Vice-Chancellor’s UK and EU Postgraduate Scholarship award.

Application Deadline: If applicants qualifying full-time masters course is due to start in September/October 2016, their completed UAL Vice-Chancellor’s Postgraduate Scholarship application form and supporting evidence must be submitted by 1 June 2016.
If applicants qualifying full-time masters course is due to start in January 2017, their completed UAL Vice-Chancellor’s Postgraduate Scholarship application form and supporting evidence must be submitted by 31 October 2016.
