Apply Here For Indspire Scholarships for Canadian Students, 2016

Indspire Scholarships are open to Indigenous Canadian students enrolled full-time at a post-secondary institution. These scholarships are awarded in the field of business, science, law, engineering, computer studies, education, social work, social sciences, fine arts, and veterinarian medicine and technical studies. Indspire’s Building Brighter Futures Bursaries, Scholarships, and Awards program helps alleviate some of the financial stress students may experience.

Description

‣ Indspire Scholarships are open to Indigenous Canadian students enrolled full-time at a post-secondary institution. These scholarships are awarded in the field of business, science, law, engineering, computer studies, education, social work, social sciences, fine arts, and veterinarian medicine and technical studies.

‣ Indspire’s Building Brighter Futures Bursaries, Scholarships, and Awards program helps alleviate some of the financial stress students may experience.

‣ Indspire is an Indigenous-led registered charity that invests in the education of Indigenous people for the long term benefit of these individuals, their families and communities, and Canada.

‣ Students need to demonstrate that they have a good level of written and spoken English.

Eligibility

To be eligible Indspire Scholarships , applicants must meet the following criteria

‣ be a Canadian Indigenous person;

‣ be enrolled in an accredited institution such as:

‣ an accredited education program;

‣ an adult education program;

‣ trades or trade-related training

not be a member of the staff, board, or jury at the time of applying for funding support.

College Admission Requirement

‣ Entrance Requirement: Indigenous students enrolled full-time at a post-secondary institution are eligible to apply.

‣ Test Requirement: No

‣ English Language Requirement: Students need to demonstrate that they have a good level of written and spoken English.

Scholarship Application Method

‣ The mode of applying is online. Mandatory application documents checklist

‣ Proof of First Nation (status or non-status), Inuit, or Métis status.

‣ Letter from Band/Post-Secondary Education Office or Support Organization indicating the amount of

‣ Support student will receive or that funding is unavailable (applicable to Status First Nation and Inuit applicants only).

‣ Letter of Introduction

‣ Marks (official or unofficial) from their most recent academic program. Please submit their most recent marks from their 2015-2016 academic year or from a program that you were in before this one.

‣ Proof of Full-time Enrollment for the program which they have applied for.

‣ Signed Parental Release Form. Submit only if they are or will be residing with their parents during their academic year and their parent(s) will not be contributing to your 2016-2017 educational costs.

Scholarship Applications due date : June 1, 2016, November 1, 2016, February 1, 2017.
