The Historic New Orleans Collection offers Woest Fellowship for 2017-2018 academic year to both US and international applicants. The main objective of the centre is to provide high quality, comprehensive educational and training opportunities that are compatible to changing needs of the students.
The Historic New Orleans Collection (THNOC) is a museum, research center, and publisher dedicated to preserving the history and culture of New Orleans and the Gulf South.
In order to be eligible applicants should be fluent in English.
Course Level: The Woest Fellowship is open to doctoral candidates, academic and museum professionals, and independent scholars.
Study Subject: Fellowship is awarded to do research in the history and culture of Louisiana and the Gulf South.
Worth of Award
The fellowship includes a stipend of $4,000. Fellows may select their period(s) of residence, but all research must commence and conclude during the specified fellowship term (April 1, 2016–March 31, 2017).
