2017 PhD Fellowship in Majorana Fusion Rules At University of Copenhagen

The university of Copenhagen is pleased to offer a Ph.D. fellowship in Majorana fusion rules to study in Denmark. Danish applicants are eligible to apply for this fellowship program.

Applicants whose native language is not English must document proficiency in English by having passed one of the recognized language tests.

Course Level: Fellowship is available for pursuing Ph.D. program.

Study Subject: Fellowship is awarded in the field of Majorana fusion rules.

Scholarship Award: The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.

Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.

The starting salary is currently at a minimum DKK 306,667 including annual supplement (+ pension up to DKK 42,361). Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.

Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for this fellowship:

Applicants should have an MSc degree in physics, experience in experimental quantum device design, fabrication and measurement, data analysis, and programming and good English skills. As criteria for the assessment of your qualifications emphasis will also be laid on previous publications (if any) and relevant work experience.

Nationality: Danish applicants are eligible to apply for this fellowship program.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirements: Applicants should have a background in Physics with either a Masters degree (for the regular Ph.D. program), one year of Masters-level coursework (for the 4+4 Ph.D. program), or an undergraduate degree in Physics from a US university (for the 3+5 Ph.D. program).

English language Requirements: Good English skills are required.
