For the academic year 2017-2018 up to ten LLM, Human Rights Scholarships are available at the Global Justice Academy. These scholarships cover the full tuition fees and expenses for citizens of Sub-Saharan Africa.
The Global Justice Academy is an interdisciplinary network that supports research, teaching and knowledge exchange on global justice issues. It seeks to build on, consolidate and expand the work of existing centres and collaborations at the University of Edinburgh.
University accepts all of the English language qualifications for entry to the University, including IELTS qualifications from any IELTS test centre.
Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing the postgraduate programme.
Study Subject: Scholarships are awarded for studying the following subjects: MSc Africa and International Development; MSc Education; MSc Environment and Development; MSc Global Health Policy; LLM Human Rights; MSc Product Design and MSc Sustainable Energy Systems.
Scholarship Award: Ten scholarships are available in 2017/2018 which will cover the full tuition fees and expenses for accommodation and maintenance. Awards are tenable for one academic year, and at the end of the award, candidates will be required to return to Africa.

College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirement: Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, the overseas equivalent of a UK first-class honours degree.
English Language Requirement: All students of every nationality are required to prove their English language competence. Even native speakers of English must demonstrate that they meet our minimum language requirements to gain entry to the University. University accepts all of the English language qualifications for entry to the University, including IELTS qualifications from any IELTS test centre. Applicants who require an IELTS test as part of an application for degree-level studies may take this test at any IELTS centre.
How to Apply: University encourage applicants to apply for this scholarship before applying to the University (unless they are also applying for funding elsewhere). By completing a short online pre-application assessment, the MCF team will assess the student’s eligibility for the scholarship and if appropriate, provide a full application form.
