PhD Scholarship in Materials Science or Chemistry in New Zealand, 2017

This is a New Zealand National Science Challenge Seeding project. It aims to develop a stretchable polymer that self-heals if cracked. The self healable polymer is then used as a binder in high-capacity anode. The project will offer a PhD scholarship, worth $27k stipend + tuition fees p.a. for three years. The student is expected to have experience in polymer synthesis. Ideally he or she has good knowledge of electrochemistry or battery.

Scholarship can be taken in New Zealand

Eligibility: Applicants must have bachelor degree in material science or chemistry and they should have experience in polymer synthesis.

Nationality: Any person who is eligible to study in NZ

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: Bachelor or higher degree in Materials science, or chemistry

Test Requirement: Applicants should have experience in polymer synthesis.

English Language Requirements: IELTS 6.5 average no band lower than 6.0.
