The course of study and area of research pursued should be relevant to the Department and Faculty’s current and future strategic areas of teaching and research.
Postdoctoral Fellowship: The area of research pursued should be relevant to the Department and Faculty’s current and future strategic areas of teaching and research.

Scholarship Award:

Graduate Scholarship: The NUS-OGS may provide one or more of the following items of assistance: 4.1.1 Two sets of economy-class return airfare for travel between Singapore and place of study; one for the commencement/completion of the study and the other for a required summer visit back to NUS. Successful applicants are expected to bear the cost of the airfare(s) for their accompanying spouse and family; 4.1.2 Tuition fees and other compulsory fees, eligibility to be decided on a case-by-case basis; 4.1.3 Maintenance allowance, eligibility and quantum to be decided on a case by-case basis; Ref: HR 088/15 Page 2 of 2 4.1.4 Conference and fieldwork grants, available by application; 4.1.5 Medical insurance coverage (only for staff) at institution of study; and 4.1.6 Sign-on bonus and/or Employer’s CPF top-up, which may be provided in lieu of monthly stipend (and/or salary, if applicable), with eligibility and quantum to be decided on a case-by-case basis. 4.2 NUS-OGS awardees are expected to secure external funding and not require a salary in general. Eligibility for salary during the scholarship term will be decided on a case-by-case basis.

Postdoctoral Fellowship: The NUS-OPF may provide for one or more of the following items of assistance: 4.1 One set of economy-class return airfare for travel between Singapore and place of training. Successful applicants will have to bear the cost of the airfare(s) for their accompanying spouse and family. 4.2 Monthly stipend, eligibility and quantum to be decided on a case-by-case basis; Ref: HR 089/15 Page 2 of 2 4.3 Conference grant, available by application; 4.4 Medical insurance coverage (only for staff) at institution of study; and 4.5 Sign-on bonus and/or Employer’s CPF top-up, which may be provided in lieu of salary and/or monthly stipend, with eligibility and quantum to be decided on a case-by-case basis.
