The Richard C. Malmsten Memorial Foundation offers scholarships for students who have applied for and been admitted to one of the School of Business, Economics and Law’s Master’s programmes and are required to pay tuition fee for education in Sweden . This scholarship is available for the 2016 admission and covers part of the tuition fee, specifi- cally 180 000 SEK over two years. This means that students will get a tuition fee waiver of 45 000 SEK per semester.

‣ Students who have applied for and been admitted to one of the School of Business, Econom- ics and Law’s (SBEL) Master’s programmes and are required to pay tuition fee for education in Sweden can be awarded this The Richard C Malmsten Memorial Foundation Scholarship .

‣ The scholarship is available for the 2016 admission and covers part of the tuition fee, specifi- cally 180 000 SEK over two years. This means that students will get a tuition fee waiver of 45 000 SEK per semester.

Eligibility

Selection of Students for The Richard C Malmsten Memorial Foundation Scholarship

‣ The selection of students will first of all be based on the valid GMAT result or GRE General Test result, sent to the School of Business, Economics and Law. After that, if there are still available scholarships, students without GMAT or GRE General Test result can be selected. In that case students are ranked according to number of higher education credits from the Bachelor´s degree (maximum 225).

‣ If students have been offered any of the scholarships from the Swedish Institute or the study scholarships offered by the University of Gothenburg, they will not qualify for the The Richard C. Malmsten Memorial Foundation Scholarship.

‣ The selection of students for the scholarship is made by the SBEL selection committee and is not applicable for appeal.

SCHOLARSHIP CONDITIONS APPENDIX 1 20151006

The Richard C Malmsten Memorial Foundation Scholarship at the School of Business, Economics and Law is subject to the following conditions:

A student granted the scholarship have to be admitted and accepted a study place at a Master’s programme at the School of Business, Economics and Law, University of Gothenburg.

If the student is granted official leave from the study programme, the scholarship will remain valid when the studies are resumed. However, studies must be resumed within one year.

The Scholarship will be cancelled if the student decides to terminate his or her studies prematurely.

If the student is no longer required to pay tuition fee during his or her studies, he or she must notify the School of Business, Economics and Law thereof in writing.

The continuation of the scholarship is conditional upon the student passing the courses that make up the study programme.

Scholarship Application Method

‣ Apply by registering your contact information and GMAT/GRE General Test score in this electronic application form. The selection of students will be finalized at the end of April.

Note! You are not required to send in any documents besides the GMAT/GRE test results (submitted by your test centre or test organisation directly to the School of Business, Economics and Law).

‣ Scholarship Application Due Date : Application period 1 November 2016 – 1 February 2017.

Conditions

The scholarship is available to students who have accepted an admission offer for a Master’s programme at the School of Business, Economics and Law starting in September 2017 and ending in June 2019.
